Tips to Strengthen Your Application
- Maintain excellent grades: Your transcript should clearly show strong performance.
- Get recommendation letters from professors who can testify to both your academic skills and character.
- Highlight non‑academic contributions: Volunteering, cultural exchange, student clubs, social work etc. This part is important given the requirement for social / intercultural involvement.
- Proofread your motivation letter: Why you need this scholarship, how you have engaged socially, what goals you have, etc.
- Apply on time, gather all documents well before deadlines. Residence permit, registration certs etc often take time.
- Check the eligibility for BAföG: If you are eligible, you cannot get this scholarship — so be sure.
